Officially saying farewell

Well everyone, I've been out of the game for quite some time but I kept telling myself I was only taking a break and I would eventually come back. After I hit the 75 mark and completed some missions I took a "break". Levelling and other high level content didn't really appeal to me. Honestly, the only thing I was really looking forward to coming back for was the role playing and it was for that reason that I kept telling myself I'd eventually come back to the game full time. The few times I did manage to log in I wasn't able to stay online long enough to really set up and get involved in anything and that isn't a temporary issue but rather the state of my life.

I had a lot of good times role playing with you folks back when I was active and I hope the feeling was mutual. I've been putting this off for a while now but I've decided that I need to just admit that I'm done with the game and not coming back. A good friend of mine's been running Wendell around in game to support personal and ClanBEB activities, but I personally haven't logged in since March 2008 and it's been almost two years since I was last seriously active. I even finally stopped paying for the game back in the Fall of this year.

So yeah, this is my farewell to everyone in FFXI. I won't be back in game but I have the archived stories of my adventures with you all to remember my time in the game by. Someday I intend to re-write them into something that flows more coherently; if I ever do that I'll share it with those who were involved. Thank you to everyone who helped make my FFXI role-playing experience memorable. Wendell started off as just a funny moment in naming - pick the race good at fighting and make them a white mage with a weak-sounding name. Being involved with CantPerMe inspired me to turn that quick private joke into a journey I never would've thought of otherwise.

I hope you do great, wherever you are nowadays! I still tell stories about our crazy tanking Galka WHM in Ballista Royale sometimes. I'm glad I was able to share the time in FFXI that you had. ^^

Aww, I was looking forward to meetin you, but yeah, there will come a time for farewells too~
