These are the few profiles I had up on the flash site from the old boards. Feel free to repost under your own name. Once everyone has done so, I'll probably delete this main post.

KIYOUMI BEAUCHAMP

Age: 23
Race: Elvaan
Gender: Female

Description:
A green-eyed Elvaan female whose red hair is pulled into twin pigtails. About average height for an Elvaan. She prefers spellcasting above sword-swinging, but is not adverse to hacking with a blade... especially if it nets her another piece of fabled Artifact Armor. She's very adept at learning magic, but is equally very inept in social situations. She tends to make poor decisions.

Job Class:
Varied. Primarily, she's a Red Mage. She has significant training in Ninjitsu and has obtained the Mark of Zahak, enabling her to use Blue Magic (much to her chagrin). She has more than passing experience in other jobs, as well.

Background:
Kiyoumi was born to a pair of Immortals that fled the Empire of Aht Urhgan, in the pirate haven known as Norg. Her parents realized that Norg was unsuitable for child rearing and defected to Bastok. She was raised without knowing of her parents' past in Aht Urhgan, and kept mostly away from the outside world. At the age of seventeen, Kiyoumi left her home to train as a White Mage in San d'Oria's cathedral. However, due to idealogical conflicts, Kiyoumi left the cathedral and wandered the world in search of a new path. She tried a variety of jobs, but the one that appealed to her most was Red Mage.

After appearing in two tournaments (faring poorly in one, and better in the next), she continued wandering. Upon taking a trip to Cape Riverne, she happened across a group of adventurers running from aggressive monsters and decided to follow them. The group was dedicated to helping Mhuirnin overcome a problem that could eventually threaten all of Vana'diel. The adventurers allowed Kiyoumi to help; in doing so, Kiyoumi eventually grew closer to the group and had found her first real friends. It seemed as if her days of wandering had come to an end.

Some months after Mhuirnin's crisis was resolved, a trip to the newly re-opened land of Aht Urhgan was scheduled. Little did Kiyoumi know that her up-to-then unknown lineage would come back to haunt her. She discovered her parents had committed suicide in her absence for reasons unsure. During her first trip to the Empire, she was nearly immediately taken into custody. Threatened with the death of her new-found friends and tempted with the promise of power, she agreed to undergo the procedure to become a Blue Mage. This despite the warning given in her parents' suicide note.

Because of this bad decision and subsequent poor actions, Kiyoumi's relationship with her friends has become (in her mind, and possibly in reality) strained as she continues to distance herself from people. She is haunted by the possibility of failing to properly train with and control her Blue Magic, and has nearly given up hope in resolving this particular problem....

Personality:
Unlike many Elvaan, she holds no preconceived notions against the other races of Vana'diel. Likewise, she speaks very informally. Exceptionally quiet and reserved, she only speaks when addressed. Kiyoumi, by default, sits in corners and observes the goings-on. She enjoys collecting Artifact Armor, and has recently started developing cooking skills. She rarely seems happy and longs to find someone to be with, be they male or female.

Hume Given Name: Laughing Boar
Age: 140
Race: Galka
Gender: Male

Description:
8 foot tall Galka. Despite his age, he is still pretty young for a Galka. Muscular body like all Galkas, covered in many scars he tries to cover up. Not much is known about him or his past. In the past he has proven to be a liar yet nothing can remain certain. He has stated that he fought in the Beastmen Wars, worked in the mines, and beyond that not much is known about his past. His odd habit of cannibalism has yet to be proven also, though he has stated that he's eaten all many species, "human" and beastmen alike beside Galkas. He has a habit at laughing at both everyone and everything despite what is being said. In actuality, he laughs not to show his real emotions to those onlooking. There are very few people he considers friends, and to only when speaking to those people he does not laugh.

Job Class:
The only traits Loial have shown thus far, are that of a Warrior's. It is unknown what other skills he possesses.

Recent History:
Loial wandered for many years after the Beastmen War. He traveled to many places, making many connections. It wasn't until he met a group of odd beings. He never suspected them of making an impact as such on his life.

The man Ayvaen entrusted the young Mithra Valenti into his care. He felt that it would be a different change of pace, and shouldn't cause him any trouble. Through various events, and time spent with Valenti he become attached to her. It reached a point he would do nearly anything to make her happy. He felt obliged to protect this girl with his life now, and not because he swore to her "brother".

Valenti and Loial eventually became distant from one another, and it came to Loial's attention that she passed away. It was a blow Loial never recovered from. Ever since that time, Loial gained an odd connection to the man Ayvaen, which in a weird way, was strengthened by Loial's attempt on the man's life. Currently, he strives to become stronger like he once was during the war. The 20 or so years on nearly no combat took it's toll on his body.

LIADAN M'RCANTHE

Age: 20
Race: Mithra
Gender: Female

Description:
Lia is short-statured, and is starting to gain the wire-and-sinew frame of a Mithra that relies on her strength more than her flexability. She has dark brown hair that is relatively long, but the bulk of it is braided up, coiled and tied in place at the back of her head with a ribbon, and left with a short length left hanging out as a ponytail. Her only truly defining features are white ear-tips and an oval spot on her forehead. She is typically seen in armor that is rather battered.

Job Class:
Lia is a budding warrior who is unafraid to step into dangerous situations, but she is starting to feel that she lacks discipline and longs to be a part of something a little more structured.

Background:
Lia isn't sure what town, if any, she was born in because her parents had a severe case of wanderlust during the formative years of her life. They encountered the typical adventures anyone not surrounded by a city's defenses are bound to run across, and Lia grew into childhood accustomed to encounters with outside cultures and the necessity of fighting and foraging. Her parents finally grew tired of aimless wandering and decided to settle down in San d'Oria to become merchants when Lia was about six years of age. This was half from convenience, since the Elvaan city could definitely use the contacts to gain out-of-area goods, and half because a merchant's life would still allow them to the excuse to still make occasional forays back out into the wild. Lia has stayed in or near the city ever since, glad to have a place to call home even if some of the other inhabitants feel that ‘outsiders’ like her do not belong.

Hobbies:
Currently Liadan has taken up fishing and leathercraft, but they’re mostly a way for a merchant’s kid to make some money on her own. She reads for enjoyment, and genuinely likes lending a hand to those in the city who are in need of help.

Personality:
Lia tries very hard to be serious but has a hard time maintaining a proper ‘serious face’, especially in front of youngsters. She gives the impression of wearing her heart on her sleeve since she’s vocal about life’s little amusements, disappointments, and irritations, but keeps the deeper bits of herself private until she knows a person very well. She is capable of enough forethought to keep from blatantly trampling on the toes of others, and is a very bad liar. Due to her upbringing Lia is relatively laid back when it comes to other cultures and beliefs but has a distinct bit of hate for things that interfere with her parents business, especially thieves and orcs.

Description:
Brown hair to his neck, slightly tanned skin, colored eyes. Average height for a hume. Can't hold his alcohol well. Often wearing a red headband and a rather worn yukata.

Job Class:
Healer for the most part. Has had some experience singing and putting the arts of the last Mastermind of the Mellinium to use however.

Background:
Tavnazian at birth, lived in Mhuara after the fall of the Grand Marquisate. Fell for a girl named Kumori, and then a girl named Merodi. Both assumed to be dead. Has saved Vana'diel a time or two, so far, and fell in with a group called Dawn that served to protect the interests of Vana'diel originally until it's dissolution. Currently, is a wonderer upon the lands, and keeps running into various members of CantaPerMe linkshell.

Hobbies:
Xenedra, Miss Forgerson, Isabella, Psylight, Mhuirnin, Ayvaen...

Personality:
Hates Elvaan. Loves both alcohol and women. Is a man of the faith, or so he claims. A rough personality to deal with, for the most part.

HIRAISHO RA'THAN

Age: 25
Race: Mithra
Gender: Female

Description:
Average height for a mithra. She has green eyes and very long brown hair that falls to about halfway down her back. She wears the traditional Black mage hat and a blue trench coat most of the time. There isn’t many whom she trusts but those whom she does she has a deep level of trust in. She has no tolerance to anyone whom would betray her trust. For magic she is most skilled in the dark artes. She is also very skilled with a staff and at times she does use a scythe.

Personality:
Hiraisho is one of the survivors from the Tavnazian incident, for the most part she resides in Windurst currently but she does move around a lot. She mainly tends to avoid only San d’Oria and Aht Urhgan. Hiraisho started as a very curious mithra, but after all she has gone through for the most part she keeps to herself unless it is people she already knows. She is single.

Backstory:
While she was still an infant her parents sent her off to San d’Oria by boat with a close family friend in hope of surviving. Her parents stayed behind to defend Tavnazia. When the boat was near San d’Oria a violent storm struck. The crew and passengers were wiped out, except Hiraisho and her caretaker. Her caretaker was seriously injured during the storm. The next day the boat drifted into San d’Oria. The elvaan found the caretaker dead and the infant mithra. They wanted nothing to do with a mithra so the tossed her into an orphanage within San d’Oria. Here is where Hiraisho grew up. As she grew older she befriended another young mithra at the orphanage, Micara.

As children, Micara and Hiraisho played around town a lot. They were the best of friends. Over the years they grew up together, they had to rely on each other to get by in life. Most of the elvann saw them as commoners and treated them poorly. Many years passed. Hiraisho wanted to become a full time gardener because she had a long time love for flowers, Micara wanted to become an adventurer because she wanted to journey the world. When Hiraisho and Micara were 18, Micara became a full fledged adventurer and went out to venture the world while Hiraisho stayed in San d'Oria. Over the next year Micara kept on coming back to San d'Oria and telling Hiraisho of her adventures and giving her gifts of things she had picked up on her adventures. One day Micara gave Hiraisho a special gift. This gift was one of Micara's prized swords, a Fleuret. After that day Micara never returned. Nothing was heard of her. After a year with no contact from Micara, Hiraisho decided to become an adventurer to search for her best friend. She decided to take up the arts of a mage, specifically red magic. After journying though Yuhtunga Jungle she found a letter written by Micara. She did not know how long the letter had been there but the letter was for her. The letter said that she was sorry that she couldn't get back to San d'Oria because she had an important mission to fulfill. Hiraisho continues her search. After a long search she finally ran into Micara in the depths of Promyvion. It was there that Micara met her fate in front of Hiraisho’s eyes. For weeks Hiraisho was devastated but eventually she moved on. She continued her studies of red magic and wandered around the world. At one point she went to work for San d’Oria. During this time she learned of what happened years ago during the crystal war. Angered by what had happened she left San d’Oria. Another of her childhood friend, Vilace, a male elvaan decided to follow her. Hiraisho went to Windurst since it was there that scholars went, also it was where another person she knew lived, Raol, a male tarutaru.
While in Windurst Vilace took up martial arts, while Raol helped Hiraisho get access to books of magic. During one of Hiraisho’s journies something happened, but no one knows what. It caused part of her memory to be forgotten. Due to this Hiraisho began studying white magic in hopes of finding a way to restore her memories. But this came to no avail. She then decided to delve into black magic. Raol and Vilace were uneasy about this but she ignored their warnings. She was fascinated by the power of black magic and the dark artes. But as they say, curiosity killed the cat. Hira spent too much time studying, she exhausted herself. One day she got her hands on a book she shouldn’t have, a book that was magically sealed. Hira broke the seal in hopes of finding out more on the dark artes. Instead as she opened the book, the spirit of a demon that was sealed inside was released, and it went for Hiraisho. Too physically exhausted to evade, the demonic spirit possessed her, and thus the battle of the wills began. A battle that would last years. Hiraisho remained in control but was continuously using her mental energy to keep the demon from taking control. When Hira told Raol and Vilace of what happened they tried an exorcism. But the demon spirit had already rooted itself deep within Hira, thus they were unable to remove it. In the end they decided to put a seal onto Hira to keep the demon at bay and keep strain off Hira’s mental energy. They tattooed a seal onto Hiraisho’s body which kept the demon at bay. But since the demon entered her body, Hira could no longer cast her white magic, she couldn’t explain it. It just wasn’t there. She could still use her black magic though. But she soon learned that when she casted her black magic, it was determinal to her health. She would start hacking up blood, and fall to her knees. Without her magic she was pretty defenseless. When she had to leave town Vilace would escort her in case any monster decided to attack. Hira would only resort to her black magic as a last resort. During this time she also met Stormwind, a fellow black mage, and Nevalyn. Hiriasho could easily feel the dark energy that emanated from Stormwind and wanted to know more about him, though that never came to be. She never told Stormwind what happened to her but she suspected that he might be able to feel the demon sprits presence. When she finally decided to ask him for help he disappeared, presumed dead.

The seal worked out for a while and during this time Raol and Vilace tried to come up with another solution since this seal wasn’t the best but at least it was working. Then one day in Batallia, it was a time Hira was on her own. She ran into a couple of people, she sat and talked with them. Eventually the conversation came to the seal on Hiraisho. One of the people there was a healer. They decided to put another seal on her to counter the determinal effect. Hira reluctantly agreed. In the end it failed, and the seal on Hiraisho slowly began to cripple. Slowly the demon spirit began regaining its power. Things only got worse. With the seal no longer holding the demon sprit at bay and still hindering Hira’s abilities, they decided to have the seal removed. But after the seal was removed, the mage threatened to rat them out due to the danger Hira could pose. In anger and not really thinking Raol took a knife from the nearby desk and slit the mage’s throat. Realizing that they couldn’t be in windurst for a while Raol and Vilace carrying the still unconscious Hiraisho headed out to Jeuno. Raol, now wanted in Windrst layed low in Jeuno. Hiraisho was back to holding the demon spirit at bay.
Time passed and Aht Urhgan opened its gates to the mainlanders. One day Hira decided to go explore the near east. Little did she know what the fates had in store for her. While she was in Aht Urhgan she was yanked off the streets by the immortals by order of Drav. Drav could sense the demonic presence within her and wanted to try a little experiment. He had his alchemist perform the procedure of becoming a blue mage on Hiraisho. When the procedure was complete they released Hiraisho back into the streets and had someone watch her from the shadows to observe the results.
As Hiraisho regained consciousness she tried to recall what happened but couldn’t. Yet, she did notice something different about herself and the demon spirit. The process had an adverse effect on Hiraisho and the demon. It caused their spirits to merge but yet still remain apart. Hira’s sprit gained traits of the demon and vice versa. They no longer fought for control but instead began to share their existence. This was a relief to Hira but she was wondering why the demon gave up. Not feeling safe in Aht Urhagn for now Hira left back for the mainland. It had turned out the demon spirit had become tame. As Hira was fighting some monsters she realized she could memorize their abilities, then use them for herself. It was about this time the demon learned how to communicate with Hira mentally and did so. This surprised Hira and soon she learned how to communicate back. Hira may have been unconscious during the operation but the demon wasn’t and told her what happened.

Hira did not know what to feel. She was grateful for these immortals for ending her internal suffering. But for the first time in her life she was angered and frustrated too, at the fact that she was forcefully put through this. Neithertheless, she was still fascinated with this magic of the beasts and continued to train down the path of a blue mage. The demon sprit, which Hira now called Demitri, started to become a mentor to her. The immortal tailing her in the shadows finally reported back to Drav. Drav was pleased with the results of his experiment and wanted his subject back.
Hira, having just lost in the second round of a tournament she was in returned to Aht Urhgan. She heard Nevalyn was there and wanted to talk with her. They talked and Hira learned that Stormwind lived. But in her current state, she wouldn’t know what stormwind would think of her so she decided to avoid him. But no sooner did Drav’s men move after her. Hira was caught by surprise and captured. While in captivity she learned of what Drav wanted her for. Too weak to break out she willing gave up control of herself to Demirti. Demitri was able to break them free of their bonds and escape. Once they were away he gave control back to Hira and they returned to the mainland where the though they would be safe. Then in Cape Riverne while Demitr was teaching Hira some ancient dark magic, Drav’s immortals attacked. They were able to fend off the immortals. But they now knew Drav was that desperate to get Hira back. They went into hiding never staying in one spot for long and for the most part avoiding going into town. This went on for months. During this time Hira discovered a new place. She did not know if it was in another dimension or not. The sky was crystalline and the water you could walk on. The land was a bright white with other bright colors. There were creatures all around, under the water and in the sky. It was a dangerous area, but it was a place safe from the immortals. She discovered the gate to this area behind one of the craigs where the crystal had disappeared. There was a structure in the center of the area but she never found a way in.

Eventually she had enough running, with the help of a friend she snuck back into Aht Urhgan undetected and had her final confrontation with Drav. Afterwards she retreated to Tavnazia where is taking a much needed rest.

Currently:
Currently Hiraisho is residing is Tavnazia taking a nice long rest that she deserves. In her free time she practices clothcrafting which she began studying years ago but due to events, hasn’t had the time to work at getting better at weaving. Still unknown on what she will do next in her magic studies.

Class:
When she first left San d’Oria in search for Micara, Hiraisho was studying red magic, but after a certain incident where she lost part of her memory she began studying white magic to find some sort of way to restore the lost portions of memory. When that ended in failure she began studying black magic, then the dark artes. Eventually she became unable to sue her white magic, only able to cast black magic. This lasted until the first time when she went to Aht Urhgan, where she gained the ability for cast blue magic. Currently she is going through removing the ability to use blue magic from her, she still mainly uses her black magic.

SCHTOLTENHEIM REINBACH V

Age: 18
Race: Hume
Gender: Male

Description:
At only eighteen years old, Reinbach is the picture of youth. Though he'll try to disguise it, a boyish face, red hair and blue eyes betray him. He stands 5'5" and has a very thin build, though he's noticed he's starting to gain weight. He is rarely seen without his trader's chapeau.

Job Class:
Reinbach has spent time as a thief and a red mage, but is now making his way as a ranger and has learned the basics of the corsair's gambling abilities. He intends to pursue a life as a gambler, but doesn't want to limit himself. He is a self-proclaimed "Jackass of all trades".

Background:
Reinbach was born to a pair of pirates, one a pirate of the Bastore sea, the other a Corsair. His father was executed in Bastok and his mother died in prison while giving birth. Before he could be placed in an orphanage, he was taken by a Galka claiming to be his godfather. Reinbach spent his youth in San d'Oria, raised by a Galka who claimed to be part of a proud tradition of thieves. They all adopted a long, elaborate name that got longer with each generation. Reinbach took his Godfather's name and added his own to it to become Schtoltenheim Von Dusseldorf di Romaneskovich San Azul Longshanks Carpenter Reinbach V. For a majority of Reinbach's life, he was homeless. He often had to resort to stealing just to get a meal, and sleep wherever he felt safest. When he was old enough, he registered as an adventurer and got his own mog house. It was around this time that his godfather was caught by San d'Orian authorities and thrown into prison for attempting to steal from the Chateau d'Oraguille. Shortly after, his godfather was poisoned by the patriarch of his thieving "family". Reinbach went to confront the patriarch and get revenge. When confronting him, he found the man on his deathbed, and he was told the story of his real parents. Since then, Reinbach has been a drifter. He worked the ferry circuit and learned how to sail, took up the game Perudo, and then joined the Ducal Guard after his friends fought Bahamut. Upon learning the true nature of Jeuno, his conscience got the better of him, and he left the Ducal Guard. With a large contribution from Ayvaen, he set out to get a ship. He ended up winning one in a game of perudo from a corsair named Laughing Bird. He renamed the ship The Valefor, and makes a living as a trader. Rumors exist that he is a pirate, but as of yet these are unfounded.

Hobbies:
Reinbach's biggest hobby is gambling. Perudo is his game of choice, believing the game itself grants wisdom to those who are skillful at it. His goal is to find the one who uses the golden perudo cup, which is said to grant enlightenment to its bearer, and win the cup for himself. He also likes to fish and has an appreciation for music and theater.

Personality:
Reinbach lives in the moment, at least on the surface. Most of the time, he's carefree, living to satisfy the most basic needs. He likes to eat, loves to drink, and has been known to do both in excess. His real passion is for gambling, and does so at every opportunity. He's more likely to do something on a whim because he just wants to see what will happen if he does. If you catch him alone, he is much more contemplative than one would imagine. He can be very insightful at times, and perhaps even a little wise beyond his years. He lives by a single motto: "Fortune favors the bold."

VALKYR- RENHARA

Age: 20+
Race: Tarutaru
Gender: Male

Appearance:
White hair tied back, grey eyes, usually seen in any robe or mage armor.

Biography:
Valkyr-Renhara was a Tarutaru, who had a single dream. It was once his father's dream, and now it is his. He desired to master all the magic arts known in Vana'Diel. That was a task that is very, very difficult. Ever since his father dissapeared in the Great War, Valkyr continued going to the magic school of Windurst, and afterwards, he was tutored Black Magic by Rurito-Karurito, a war warlock friend of Reju-Renhara, Valkyr's father. Until Valkyr was old enough to live by himself, he was taken care of by Kupipi, who eventually worked in Heaven's Tower. His moogle, 'Kevin', was assigned to him when he declared himself an adventurer.

Valkyr declared himself an adventurer because he believes the best way to earn experience is not to live in a library, but to put it into good practice in the real world. Pretty often Valkyr had to face trials in the middle lands. And there, his Black Magic would be his best weapon. He was aquainted with Red and White magic too, and he wished to delve deeper into Red magic because of his liking to annoy or make his foes incapacitated when fighting them.

He met with Shadowdancer not too long after his career as an adventurer started; he had just met up with an old friend, Xeroz as well. After a long talk, Shadowdancer became close friends with Valkyr, that they declared each other siblings, siblings of the night. They had gone on adventures for a very long time until a fateful day in Qufim had caused him to split up with Shadow. That however, resulted in Valkyr seeing the Near East--where he met Yufafa...and became an Immortal. His real adventure was just about to start.

Currently:
After much more time later, Valkyr had made a promise to Akuma, that he would stay away from Blue Magic, Immortals, and the Near East and anything to do with it until Akuma would find the rumored method of removing the soul of an infused monster. Doing so would remove the crazed monster within him. To avoid remembering Blue magic, he stays away from anything related to Magic unless he absolutely has to. In this time, he has gotten to know Allouette, and Unikatze, who helped him learn more about martial arts.

Job:
White magic was one book Valkyr didn't enjoy at all; it was boring to learn, let alone practice. While it has many times saved Valkyr from certain death, the only spells Valkyr enjoy most here is only paralyze, slow and silence. Red Magic also reaches out to these spells, so it further gives him want to learn it. Nonetheless, Red Magic can only do so much, so his white magic he must master one day. It is still, however, the one he least prioritizes.

Black magic is the school Valkyr had already delved most in, he was over halfway to reaching the point where he could learn every spell known to man, and it contained a feature which Valkyr just enjoyed: damaging. It was his favorite thing to do as a mage, next to incapacitating enemies, and it has plenty of spells to cripple the enemy.

Red Magic is an art that Valkyr hasn't developed at all. However, he hopes to because it gets him Cure spells, Paralyze, Silence and Slow. If he mastered Black magic and then master this, Valkyr would be very happy, considering the two jobs form Valkyr's best form of expertise: Enfeebling and dealing plentiful of damage. One day, he'll go really deep into this art.

Blue Magic, however is his latest addition of a magic school. It has easily become Valkyr's favorite, because of it's versatility. It can destroy, heal, and cripple. His progress in Blue Magic is much much faster than how he had learned Black Magic. He has seen how much potential Blue Magic has, and wants to absorb as much essences from monsters and beastmen as possible, make full use of the powers it grants him, before he goes back to learn the other schools.

Puppetmastery is his latest interest. The strange personality of Allouette has piqued Valkyr's curiousity, and together, they try to solve the past of Allouette's strange history. Although, both of them aren't good fighters...

Personality:
Valkyr-Renhara is a young man who cares. His acts seem childish or naive, but he always cares about others, especially his friends. He sometimes finds a difficulty in finding words, but when he does find them, they hit its mark quite well. A dark side to his kind smile, is the heart of desire; he desires more power to overwhelm his foes. This desire for power is what gave him Blue Magic in the first place. He is always attracted to anything, like artifacts or relics that can benefit his well-being.

Hobbies:
Artifacts, adventuring, learning, gathering with friends, relics, or anything to improve his magical power, Adventuring with Allouette and Shadow.
